Introduction

Kristel:
It’s time to awaken to your ultimate potential.

In today’s episode of 2 Minutes of Motivation, I’m talking about reframing your personal story.

This week on the show, I spoke with Priya Sam about the power of storytelling — and how it impacts your relationships, your professional life, and the relationship you have with yourself.

Today, I want to focus on that internal story you carry — and whether it’s truly serving you.

Recognizing Limiting Stories

Take a moment and ask yourself:

Is there a story you tell yourself that’s holding you back at work or in your personal life?

Is there a belief that’s preventing you from experiencing the growth and success you’re hoping for?

Some stories quietly feed unhelpful patterns.

Once you recognize one of these stories, you have a choice. You can begin to approach it in a new way.

Workplace and Personal Examples

For example, in the workplace, some people think:

“I don’t have anything valuable to add in this meeting.”

That belief can lead to staying silent, holding back, and slowing career growth.

In personal life, another limiting story might be:

“I’m not good at making new friends.”

That belief can prevent you from putting yourself out there and building meaningful relationships.

Creating Empowering Beliefs

Once you identify a disempowering story, ask yourself:

“How can I view this in a more empowering way?”

This creates space for new possibilities.

The next step is taking action.

Ask yourself:

“What is one small, actionable step I can take to support this new belief?”

Building Confidence Through Action

When you become intentional with your choices and behaviors — and align them with who you aspire to be — something powerful happens.

You begin to build inner confidence.

You strengthen empowering beliefs.

Over time, these intentional actions shape how you show up in your work and life.

Closing

Take a little time today to support a more uplifting story for yourself.

Work on reframing your internal narrative.
