Episode Highlights

In this episode, you'll learn:

  • Why reflecting on past successes can strengthen your confidence today

  • How connecting with your personal mission helps quiet self-doubt

  • Why preparation is one of the most effective ways to build confidence

  • The importance of focusing on progress instead of perfection

Key Takeaways

1. Remember Your Past Successes

When facing a new challenge, remind yourself of previous accomplishments. Looking back at moments when you've successfully navigated difficult situations can help reinforce your belief that you're capable of doing it again.

2. Connect With Your Why

Confidence grows when your attention shifts from fear to purpose. Reconnecting with your personal mission and the impact you want to make helps create motivation that's bigger than temporary self-doubt.

3. Prepare and Take Action

Confidence isn't just something you feel—it's something you build through preparation. Practice, seek feedback, and put in the work ahead of time so you can step into important moments feeling ready.

Why Inner Confidence Matters

Whether you're leading a meeting, interviewing for a new role, giving a presentation, or navigating change, inner confidence plays a critical role in sustainable high performance.

Confidence isn't about being perfect. It's about trusting yourself enough to continue moving forward, learning, and growing—even when uncertainty is present.

(0:00) It's time to awaken to your ultimate potential. (0:03) For today's episode of Two Minutes of Motivation,(0:05) I'm going to be sharing three things that can be helpful (0:07) when you're looking to build internal confidence. (0:10) Now, this week on the show, (0:11) I chatted with Greg Smith from Franklin Covey, (0:13) and we talked about navigating imposter phenomenon (0:16) and excelling as a leader. (0:17) So a big part of that is having this sense (0:19) of inner confidence. (0:22) Now, the first thing that can be helpful

(0:23) when you're looking to boost that internal confidence (0:26) is think about times in the past (0:29) where you have been successful, (0:32) where you have achieved your goals. (0:34) So when you're looking to take things to the next level, (0:37) when you're looking to have that inner boost of confidence(0:39) when perhaps you're going into a new situation, (0:42) thinking of times where things have gone well, (0:45)where things have been successful in the past (0:47) can be helpful. (0:48) So that's step one. (0:50) Number two, connect with your why.

(0:53) Connect with your personal mission. (0:55) Why is this important to you? (0:57) So make it matter. (0:58)Make it matter to you and think about the bigger picture (1:02) and make it more about the greater good. (1:05) Make it more about your mission (1:07) and what you're really trying to achieve here.(1:10) Now, number three, (1:11) when you're looking to build that internal confidence (1:13) is make sure you're putting in the appropriate preparation(1:17) to help you feel confident going in.(1:20) So practice, prepare, get feedback (1:22) from those in your inner circle,

(1:23) from your friends, from your family. (1:25) So put in the work in advance (1:27) to help set yourself up for success (1:29) for whatever it is you're actually looking to achieve. (1:33)Now, when you're doing this, (1:34) it's important that you let go (1:36) of expecting yourself to be perfect. (1:38)Focus on progress. (1:40) So again, these three steps (1:42) to help you build internal confidence. (1:44) Number one, think about the times (1:45) you've been successful in the past. (1:47)Number two, make it matter. (1:49)Connect it with your personal mission.

(1:51) And number three, prepare and take action. (1:55) I hope that this helps you. (1:57) And until next time, (1:58)this is Crystal Bauer with Live Greatly,(2:00) inspiring you to awaken your ultimate potential. (2:03) Thank you so much for spending time with me today.(2:06) I absolutely loved sharing these insights with you. (2:09) If you have a moment, (2:11) I would greatly appreciate you leaving a review (2:13)about what you loved about this episode.(2:16) Leaving reviews helps the show gain visibility (2:18) so those who can benefit from it can gain access to it.
