Reflection Exercise to Boost Happiness and Fulfillment: 2 Minutes of Motivation
Live Greatly Podcast — Hosted by Kristel Bauer

Kristel Bauer:
For today’s episode of 2 Minutes of Motivation, I’m going to share some reflection questions to help you create a more fulfilling life.

Earlier this week on the show, I spoke with Corinne Low, PhD, author of Having It All, about key contributors to fulfillment at work and in life. Today, I want to dive a little deeper into that topic by sharing questions I recently used in a workshop called Effectively Manage Stress and Learn How to Do the Work-Life Tango.

These questions are designed to help you reflect on what’s going well in your life — and what might need more attention.

Take a moment to think about each of these as I share them.

First question:
When was the last time you felt truly happy?
What was happening in your life at that time?
What activities were you doing?

Second question:
What are the things that spark natural joy in you?
Are you making these things a priority in your life?

After a recent keynote, someone shared with me that they wanted more fun and playfulness in their everyday life. Over time, when things get busy, we often set aside the activities that light us up. This question helps you reconnect with those sources of joy.

Third question:
What would you do for free?
If money weren’t an issue, how would you choose to spend your time?

Your answers to these questions can guide you toward where you should be investing your energy and attention. When you focus on what’s truly meaningful, it creates a positive ripple effect across every area of your life.

There are many more tools and strategies for thriving in work and life in my book, Work-Life Tango: Finding Happiness, Harmony, and Peak Performance Wherever You Work.

If you’d like to explore this further, you can find it on Amazon.

Thank you so much for spending time with me today. If you enjoyed this episode, I’d greatly appreciate you leaving a review — it helps more people find and benefit from the show.

Until next time, this is Kristel Bauer with Live Greatly, inspiring you to awaken your ultimate potential.
