A Luxury Beach Getaway at the Acqualina Resort In Sunny Isles, Florida

If you are looking for some time away to reconnect and recharge, a beach destination should be on the top of your list. There is something incredibly soothing and rejuvenating about being by the ocean. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore. The smell of salt water in the air. For an early fall getaway, my family and I hopped on a plane to Fort Lauderdale to visit Sunny Isles, Florida at the breathtaking Acqualina Resort. We received a sponsored 2-night media stay, and it was incredible.

OUR ARRIVAL

The Entrance to the Acqualina Resort

You have arrived!

As soon as you pull up to Acqualina’s grand entrance you know that you are officially on vacation and in for a treat.

Coconut water anyone?

After checking in we were given a tour of the property and we went to their beachfront restaurant, Costa Grill, to enjoy some mahi tacos and coconut water fresh from the coconut. This was a great set up to help us fully embrace being in vacation mode.

Room With a View!

We stayed in a one-bedroom oceanfront suite and all I can say is wow! The view was spectacular, and the room had it all, including a top of line kitchen. The balcony was huge and it was the perfect spot for me to enjoy my coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening while overlooking the ocean.

Gorgeous Pools and Beach:

After getting settled in our room, it was time to explore the pools and the beach. There were 2 family pools and one adult’s only pool, so lots of options! I appreciated the little details which made a big difference like the complimentary sunscreen poolside and the attentive towel service. After having fun in the pool, we decided to take a dip in the ocean and the beach was beautiful. While I was jumping around in the waves, I noticed that a spot on my arm started burning. When I got out I noticed I had a small red welt in that area. I popped over to the concierge to see if they had any ideas of what could be happening, and it turns out that it was a mild jellyfish sting. The concierge was incredibly helpful and gave me some things to help. I was really impressed with their attentiveness and support in navigating this mishap!

Other Perks!

Another great perk to being a guest at the Acqualina is that you have access to the amenities in their spa like their unique steam room and sauna. Their women’s steam room has a large crystal in the center with seating to lay back and let the steam do its work! After spending time in the steam room and sauna you can enjoy their experience shower which has some really cool features, or you can cool off with some ice from their ice fountain. They also have an Acquamarine kids club, an outdoor soccer field, a great workout room, seasonal fitness classes and lots more.

Overall, our stay at the Acqualina Resort exceeded our expectations in so many ways! It is truly a premium luxury resort and I would love to go back. If you would like to learn more about the Acqualina Resort you can do so here.
