Episode Transcript

In today's episode of two minutes of motivation, I'm going to be sharing with you three ways that you can build connections. I had a really great conversation this week with Joe Keohane about the power of connection. If you haven't checked out that episode, I highly recommend that you do. That inspired me to take a little time today on this topic.

So the first thing that you can do to really build connection is you have to be vulnerable when you're entering into friendships, relationships. You need to let people see who you really are. So that takes a little bit of practice. You have to get comfortable with being vulnerable, to really build those deeper connections.

The second thing is express gratitude. If you're in the workplace and you want to build connection, expressing gratitude is an incredible way to do it. Also with friends and family in your life, let them know that you appreciate them. That is a really great way to build connection. I mean, think about how great it feels when people express gratitude to you.

Now, the third thing is you need to practice. So it's been a tough time for a lot of people with the COVID-19 pandemic. And you may be a little bit out of practice with social interactions, but don't let that stop you. Get out there, build connection.

And the more that you do it  the more comfortable you're going to feel. So the three things are number one, you need to be vulnerable. Number two, express gratitude, and number three, you have to practice. I hope that this helps you. And until next time, this is Kristel Bauer with Live Greatly inspiring you to awaken your ultimate potential.
