I recently had the opportunity to enjoy a two-night hosted media stay at the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead with my family, and I was excited to spend some time relaxing while exploring the shopping and dining scene in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood.
Tucked away in the heart of Buckhead, this luxury hotel offers a peaceful retreat while being conveniently located near some of Atlanta's most popular shopping destinations.
Between enjoying some relaxation at the spa, discovering delicious restaurants, and spending quality time together as a family, we had plenty to look forward to!
Here are some of the highlights from our visit.
A Warm Welcome and Thoughtful Hospitality
One of the things that really stood out during our stay was the hospitality.
When we first arrived, our room wasn't quite ready, but the concierge was incredibly kind and walked me over to the bar, where I was invited to enjoy a complimentary drink of my choice while I waited.
Shortly afterward, we received our keys and headed up to our spacious room. Not long after settling in, we were greeted with another nice surprise: a selection of beverages and snacks as a welcome gift!
It's those thoughtful little touches that can make a hotel stay feel extra special.
A Peaceful Garden, Indoor Pool and Beautiful Hotel Amenities
After getting settled, I was excited to explore the hotel and check out some of its amenities.
One of my favorite discoveries was the hotel's beautiful private garden. It was such a peaceful spot, offering a quiet escape from the energy of the surrounding city.
I also checked out the fitness center and indoor pool, two additional amenities for guests looking to stay active or unwind during their visit.
I always appreciate hotels that make it easy to combine exploring a destination with opportunities to slow down and recharge, and Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead offered a nice balance of both.
A Delicious Breakfast at Brassica
The next morning, I started my day with the complimentary coffee and tea available in the hotel lobby before we headed to Brassica, the hotel's restaurant, for breakfast.
I always appreciate restaurants that offer healthy options, so I was excited to see some delicious choices on the menu!
I ordered their Golden Girl juice, a refreshing blend of turmeric, carrot, lemon, pineapple and ginger, along with an egg white frittata. Both were delicious and a great way to fuel up before a full day of relaxation and exploring Buckhead.
Relaxation and Recharging at the Waldorf Astoria Spa
One of the highlights of my stay was getting to enjoy some time at the Waldorf Astoria Spa!
I headed over for a 50-minute massage, which was a wonderful opportunity to relax, de-stress and recharge.
With busy schedules and competing priorities, it's easy to put our own well-being on the back burner. I'm a big believer in the importance of making time to recharge, and I always appreciate opportunities to slow down, be present and enjoy a little self-care.
It was the perfect way to start a day filled with exploring Buckhead!
Shopping in Buckhead: Exploring Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza
After my spa treatment, we headed out on foot to explore some of Buckhead's popular shopping destinations.
We spent time at both Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, enjoying a fun-filled afternoon browsing the shops and exploring the area.
One of the things I appreciated about staying at Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead was how convenient it was to get out and explore the neighborhood.
With so many shopping and dining options nearby, it was easy to make the most of our time without having to venture far from the hotel.
Buckhead Village District, Boutique Shopping and Delicious Sushi
Later that afternoon, we returned to the hotel before heading out for another adventure.
One of the perks we really appreciated was the hotel's complimentary Lyft service, which was available for rides within a two-mile radius of the property during our stay.
The team helped arrange our ride to Buckhead Village District, an open-air shopping and dining destination filled with boutiques, restaurants and inviting places to wander.
It was such a fun area to explore, with a different atmosphere from the larger shopping centers we had visited earlier in the day.
That evening, we headed to Umi for dinner, where we enjoyed some amazing sushi!
It was a delicious way to wrap up a day filled with shopping, relaxation and family time.
French Pastries and a Sweet Ending to Our Stay
On our final morning, we headed back to Buckhead Village to visit Saint Germain French Café & Bakery.
We enjoyed some delicious croissants and picked up a few macarons to bring back to the hotel's front desk team as a small thank-you for their wonderful hospitality.
Throughout our visit, the staff consistently went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
From arranging complimentary Lyft rides to helping me get hot water for my tea, everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive and helpful.
Those personal touches made such a difference and were a big part of what made our experience so memorable.
Final Thoughts: A Memorable Family Getaway in Buckhead
Even though we were only at Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead for two nights, we packed so much into our visit that it felt like a much longer getaway!
One of the things I especially appreciated was the combination of having so much to explore nearby while also having a peaceful place to return to at the end of the day.
A big thank you to the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead team for making our stay so special! From the thoughtful welcome gifts to the kindness and attentiveness of the staff throughout our visit, the hospitality really stood out.
