Inside Grandover Resort & Spa: A North Carolina Getaway with Something for Everyone

I recently had the opportunity to visit Grandover Resort & Spa in Greensboro, North Carolina, for a hosted media stay, and I was especially excited to have the chance to enjoy a mother-son getaway!

Between work, school, activities and all of the responsibilities that come with everyday life, things can get busy! Being intentional about carving out quality time with the people we love can sometimes take a little extra effort, but it's so worth it.

I was excited to explore Grandover Resort & Spa and check out all of the fun, family-friendly amenities this beautiful Greensboro property has to offer. From golfing on a gorgeous course to enjoying incredible food and discovering plenty of indoor activities when the weather didn't cooperate, there was so much to enjoy!

Here are some of the highlights from my visit.

A Gorgeous Setting with Warm Hospitality

Driving up to Grandover Resort & Spa, I couldn’t wait to explore everything the property had to offer. The long, scenic drive takes you past outdoor tennis courts and a volleyball court, with gorgeous landscaping along the way. As we approached the hotel, the impressive architecture and grand entrance made quite a first impression!

Grandover has an elegant feel to it, but what I especially appreciated was how warm and welcoming the team was. Everyone we interacted with throughout our stay was so friendly and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Golfing on a Gorgeous Course

One of the highlights of our visit was getting out on the golf course!

Grandover is known for its beautiful golf courses, and after experiencing the property firsthand, I can see why golf is such a big draw.

We had the opportunity to play nine holes, and the course was absolutely gorgeous. Between the rolling greens, beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings, it was such a fun experience.

I'm relatively new to golf, and this trip definitely inspired me to keep working on my game!

Whether you're an experienced golfer or just getting started, Grandover offers a beautiful setting to enjoy the game.

Delicious Dining at Finial Restaurant

Another highlight of our stay was the food!

We had dinner at Finial Restaurant, and everything we ordered was delicious.

I enjoyed a filet, and we also tried the lobster pasta, which was fantastic! Both dishes were beautifully prepared, and the entire dining experience was wonderful.

I always appreciate a restaurant that combines delicious food with a welcoming atmosphere, and Finial delivered on both.

We also enjoyed breakfast through room service during our stay, which was a nice way to start the morning at a more relaxed pace.

I loved the variety of great dining options right on the property!

Plenty of Fun, Even When the Weather Doesn't Cooperate

We had quite a bit of rain during our weekend at Grandover, but that didn't stop us from having fun!

We spent some time at Café Expresso, which is a great spot to grab a quick, casual bite to eat. They have a variety of food and drink options, along with a game room where we enjoyed playing pool, shuffleboard and watching sports on the TVs.

It was such a fun way to spend part of a rainy day! Between the game room, indoor pool and other amenities, there was plenty to keep us busy even when we couldn't be outside. And when you're traveling with kids, having those options right at the resort is definitely a plus!

Pools, Fitness, Spa and More

Another thing I loved about Grandover was the variety of amenities available right on the property.

The resort has both indoor and outdoor pools, which was especially nice given the rainy weather during our stay. I also checked out the fitness center, which had a great setup for getting in a workout while traveling.

Grandover also has a spa offering a variety of treatments for anyone looking to add a little extra relaxation to their getaway. I didn't have a chance to experience the spa on this visit, but it's definitely something I'd be interested in checking out next time!

One of the unexpected highlights was exploring the resort's art gallery, which features artwork from North Carolina artists. It was fun to walk through and see the different pieces on display.

Final Thoughts: A Getaway with Something for Everyone

One of my favorite parts of this getaway was having the chance to spend quality time together, try new things and make some fun memories along the way!

Getting away can make it easier to slow down and enjoy those moments together, but it's also important to bring that same intentionality into our everyday lives. Whether it's trying something new, enjoying a meal together or simply making time to connect, there are so many opportunities to create meaningful moments with the people we love, even when life gets busy.
