Inside Our Stay at Bolt Farm Treehouse: A Luxury Tennessee Getaway to Unplug and Reconnect
My husband and I recently had the opportunity to enjoy a hosted two-night media stay at Bolt Farm Treehouse in Tennessee, and what stood out to me most wasn't just the beautiful setting or the luxury treehouse. It was how intentionally the entire experience was designed to help you slow down, unplug and reconnect.
When you hear "treehouse," you may picture something rustic built from boards and tucked into the backyard. What Tori and Seth Bolt have created at Bolt Farm Treehouse is something entirely different.
This is an elevated, adults-only escape immersed in nature, with incredible views, private outdoor spaces, wellness experiences and thoughtful touches that make it easy to step away from the constant distractions of everyday life.
I talk a lot about being intentional with our time, energy and attention, and I loved how this experience made it easier to slow down, be present and truly connect.
Arriving at Bolt Farm Treehouse in Tennessee
As we drove toward the property, we were welcomed by a Bolt Farm sign. The scenery became increasingly wooded and peaceful as we continued down the path toward the Welcome Center Dome, where we checked in and were greeted with a glass of champagne.
From the beginning, it felt like we were entering a place designed to help us shift gears.
And that became even more apparent at our first stop: the Wellness Haven.
The Wellness Haven
Shortly after checking in, we headed to Bolt Farm's Wellness Haven, which quickly became one of my favorite parts of the property.
Surrounded by beautiful views, the space includes cascading pools, a mirrored sauna, a steam room overlooking the landscape and a cold plunge experience with a bucket of very cold water that you pull down over yourself.. And yes, we tried it!
We had spa appointments scheduled for that evening: a facial for me and a massage for my husband. We were brought into a couples treatment room, and it was such a relaxing way to begin our stay.
I loved that wellness here wasn't about packing the day with activities. It was about creating space to slow down and be present.
Our Luxury Treehouse
Bolt Farm is spread across a large property, so we were given our own golf cart to get around.
When we pulled up to our treehouse, I had one of those moments where the reality surpassed what I had pictured beforehand.
We walked across a charming walkway to what felt like our own private oasis overlooking the mountains. Outside, we had a private hot tub, outdoor shower, pizza oven and fireplace, all surrounded by incredible views.
Charming Touches
Inside was equally impressive. Vaulted ceilings and enormous windows brought the outdoors in, while thoughtful details made the space feel special. A record player was already playing music when we arrived, and those little touches helped create a feeling that was very different from simply checking into a hotel room.
It felt private, peaceful and intentionally removed from the busyness of everyday life.
Making Pizza Together
One of my favorite parts of our first night was also one of the simplest.
Ready-to-cook meals were waiting for us when we arrived, and that evening's dinner involved making our own pizza in the outdoor pizza oven.
I'll admit that when I first looked at the big ball of dough, I wasn't completely confident about how it was going to turn out.
But that became part of the fun.
I rolled out the dough, and together we attempted to make it look somewhat like a proper pizza. Somehow, dinner actually turned out great.
What I loved most wasn't really the pizza. It was doing something new together.
It was a great reminder that connection doesn't always require something elaborate. Sometimes it's simply about giving something or someone your full attention.
Hiking, Wellness and Slowing Down
The next morning started slowly. When we woke up, we pushed a button to raise the shades and were greeted by the most incredible views through the floor-to-ceiling windows. It was truly breathtaking.
We ground our coffee beans with the handheld grinder, heated up the quiche that had been provided for breakfast and then headed out for a hike. Bolt Farm has trails throughout the property, including some with small waterfalls, so we spent part of the morning exploring before returning to the Wellness Haven.
We cycled between the steam room, cold plunge and sauna before heading back to our treehouse. And then we did something that can sometimes feel surprisingly difficult in everyday life.
Not much.
I read a book while my husband worked on a puzzle we had picked up from the Welcome Dome. We took in the views and enjoyed having nowhere we needed to be and nothing we needed to rush off to.
That slower pace was one of my favorite parts of our stay. It gave us the space to be present and enjoy the simple things that can so easily get lost in the busyness of everyday life.
That evening, we made the lemon chicken pasta Bolt Farm had provided and enjoyed another quiet night together.
A Getaway Designed for Connection
On our final morning, we raised the shades one more time and took in the incredible mountaintop views through the enormous windows.
I felt so grateful for the time my husband and I had together and for the chance to slow down and get back to some of the simple things that bring us joy.
In everyday life, there is almost always something competing for our attention. Work, parenting, schedules, responsibilities, phones and notifications can make it easy to move from one thing to the next without making much space to simply be present with the people we love.
Our time at Bolt Farm was a beautiful reminder that connection requires intention.
A big thank you to Tori and Seth Bolt and the entire Bolt Farm Treehouse team for creating such a special place!
